DJI May Be Gearing Up to Launch Three New Drones — Plus a New Action Camera

DJI appears to be ramping up for a major wave of new product releases, according to recent leaks from DroneXL. Based on newly surfaced images, videos, and FCC filings, the company may be preparing to unveil three new drones: the DJI Mini 5 Pro, Avata 3, and Neo 2. In addition, DJI seems to be working on a new wearable action camera, potentially named the DJI Osmo Nano.

In a leaked video published by DroneXL, we get an early glimpse at what could be the successors to the Avata 2 and the compact Neo drone. The Avata 3 prototype reveals some interesting design upgrades — most notably, its battery has been shifted further back, and the front camera module appears to be significantly larger. Another key change is the switch from three-blade propellers to a four-blade design, likely aiming to enhance flight stability and performance.

Next to the Avata 3 in the video is what appears to be the Neo 2. While details are scarce, early visuals suggest redesigned propeller guards, potentially pointing to improved safety and a more user-friendly design — perfect for indoor or beginner drone pilots.

Meanwhile, a new FCC filing has shed light on the DJI Mini 5 Pro, revealing it will be equipped with a 33.5Wh battery — a substantial upgrade from the 18.9Wh battery found in the Mini 4 Pro. Even more impressive are the reported transmission capabilities: the Mini 5 Pro may be able to stream video from up to 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) away, 5 km farther than its predecessor. This puts it within striking distance of DJI’s Mavic 4 Pro, which wasn't officially supposed to launch in the U.S. — yet somehow appeared on the market anyway. The Mini 5 Pro is expected to be officially announced in September.

Adding to the excitement is the discovery of another FCC document for the DJI Osmo Nano, which looks to be a new wearable action camera. It may include a modular display similar to DJI’s existing Action line, offering flexibility and ease of use. DroneXL also mentions that DJI is rumored to be developing two additional products: a Mic 3 audio system and an Osmo 360 camera, though there’s no concrete release info yet.

With these developments, DJI seems poised to continue dominating the drone and action cam markets by pushing the boundaries of portability, range, and imaging power. If the leaks are accurate, the next few months could be big for drone enthusiasts and content creators alike.

Samsung's Galaxy S26: A Renewed Focus on Exynos Chips

Samsung’s commitment to its in-house Exynos processors remains steadfast, signaling a potential turning point for its future flagship phones. While 2025's Galaxy S25 series fully embraced Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite globally, recent rumors hint at a strategic shift for the Galaxy S26 lineup in 2026. Samsung appears ready to reintroduce the Exynos 2600 , albeit with a twist—limited availability. Exynos Returns: A Mixed Strategy Leaks suggest that Samsung is reviving its Exynos 2600 chip for the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models. However, due to production challenges tied to yield issues at its 2nm fabrication nodes, the Exynos chip may only be available in certain regions. This approach mirrors Samsung’s 2020 strategy with the Exynos 990 , which powered international variants of the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series, while U.S., Canadian, and Chinese markets received Qualcomm processors instead. Notably, it’s expected that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will exclusively feature Qualcomm’s Sn...
